In music news, David Kramer’s Langarm opens at the Fugard Theatre on Tuesday 20th, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra performs the mighty Verdi’s Requiem on Thursday 22nd, multi-platinum UK band James have their first ever Cape Town show at Kirstenbosch on Saturday 24th, and Mango Groove performs for the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert on Sunday 25th.
Speaking of the outdoors, the Galileo Open Air Cinema is screening Lady Bird at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 21st, Armageddon at Kenilworth Racecourse on Thursday 22nd, The Mountain Between Us at the V&A Waterfront on Friday 23rd, and Eat Pray Love in Paarl on Saturday 24th.
Last night, the best restaurants in the country were crowned at the spectacular 20th annual Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards, with many of the nominees and winners ranked among the best fine dining restaurants in Cape Town. Indeed, if you enjoy the finer things in life, savour some craft cuisine concepts in Cape Town as well as artisanal fare in the winelands and beyond.
Other foodie highlights this week include the Restaurant Week winners edition from Thursday 22nd and the first ever Dessert Expo at the Cape Town Stadium all weekend.
