In arts and entertainment news, the RAW Festival begins at the Baxter Theatre on Monday 10th, Matilda the Musical opens at the Artscape Opera House on Tuesday 11th, the Vortex Open Source Music Festival starts the long weekend on Thursday 13th, and Alan Committie ends his comedy show Class(y) Clown at the Baxter Theatre on Saturday 15th.
At the movies, the Fugard Theatre is showing Comédie-Française’s Cyrano de Bergerac on Sunday 16th while the Galileo Open Air Cinema is screening five films this week: The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 12th, Brave at Willowbridge Mall on Thursday 13th, Four Christmases at Century City on Friday 14th, The Never-Ending Story in Somerset West on Saturday 15th, and Enchanted at Kelvin Grove Club on Sunday 16th.
Drinks events this week include the Inner City Wine Route from Tuning the Vine on Wednesday 12th and the Darling Summer Beer Festival on Saturday 15th.
