In entertainment news, Nik Rabinowitz brings his new comedy show Dry White to the Baxter Theatre from Tuesday 18th, the Fugard Theatre is screening The Nutcracker from the Royal Ballet on Sunday 23rd, and the Galileo Open Air Cinema has five outdoor movies this week: Mrs Doubtfire at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 19th, Moana at Kenilworth Racecourse on Thursday 20th, Alice In Wonderland at the V&A Waterfront on Friday 21st, The Holiday at Nederburg Wine Farm in Paarl on Saturday 22nd, and Arthur Christmas at Kelvin Grove Club on Sunday 23rd.
The biggest highlights are musical: from classical concerts with the Oude Libertas Festival Orchestra on Wednesday 19th and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday 20th to the Get Lucky Summer Series with GoodLuck and Black Motion in Plettenberg Bay on Sunday 23rd and six gigs for the new Inverroche Summer Concerts in Stilbaai: Prime Circle and Wonderboom on Monday 17th, Jeremy Loops and Bam Bam Brown on Tuesday 18th, Dan Patlansky and Jack Mantis Band on Thursday 20th, Watershed and Opposite The Other on Friday 21st, Arno Carstens and Ard Matthews on Saturday 22nd, and Freshlyground and Serrotone on Sunday 23rd.
