In entertainment news, the Cape Town City Ballet presents Swingtime in the Park at the Maynardville Open Air Theatre from Wednesday 23rd, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra starts its summer music festival at City Hall on Thursday 24th, and the Fugard Theatre is screening the Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Merry Wives of Windsor on Sunday 27th.
If you’d like to take it outside, the Sun Met is at the Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 26th while the Galileo Open Air Cinema has four screenings this week: A Walk in the Clouds at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 23rd, 50 First Dates at Kirstenbosch on Thursday 24th, Braveheart at Meerendal Wine Estate on Friday 25th, and Lion at Under Oaks Wine Estate in Paarl on Saturday 26th. There are also two concerts at Kirstenbosch this weekend: James Morrison on Saturday 26th and Mafikizolo on Sunday 27th.
