There’s lots of love to spread in this week’s event guide!
In entertainment news, there are two outdoor concerts on Sunday 17th: the Cape Town Folk ‘n Acoustic Music Festival at Kirstenbosch and Jimmy Nevis at De Waal Park. The Fugard Theatre is also screening Comédie-Française’s The Fop Reformed on Sunday 17th.
Still at the movies, the Galileo Open Air Cinema has four screenings this week: Sweet Home Alabama at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 13th, Romeo + Juliet at Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch on Thursday 14th, The Leisure Seeker at the V&A Waterfront on Friday 15th, and Me Before You at Warwick Wine Estate on Saturday 16th.
There are also plenty of romantic ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Cape Town, including Valentine’s Day specials at some of the most romantic restaurants to pop the question and wedding venues for the big day.
Other Valentine’s Day highlights include Bryan Ferry performing at the Grand Arena, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra giving its final concert of the latest season at City Hall, and the Investec Cape Town Art Fair at the CTICC all weekend. With so much to choose from, what’s not to love?
