There’s plenty of razzle and dazzle in this week’s event guide!
In theatre news, this is your last week to watch 4Love at Theatre on the Bay and Immaculate Deception at Gate69, both of which end on Saturday 16th. You can also enjoy a free lunchtime performance from Zip Zap Circus on Tuesday 12th.
But if music is more of your thing, Chicago opens at the Artscape Opera House on Friday 15th, Last Night of the Proms is at City Hall from Saturday 15th, and there are two outdoor concerts on Sunday 17th: Spoegwolf and Jan Blohm at Kirstenbosch and Jimmy Nevis at De Waal Park.
Staying outdoors, the Galileo Open Air Cinema has four screenings this week: Daddy’s Home at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 13th, Dirty Dancing at Willowbridge Mall on Thursday 14th, and Black Panther at the V&A Waterfront on Friday 15th.
Before the chilly weather sets in, make time to enjoy the perfect summer picnic spots across the Cape or perhaps some gloriously golden pies for World Pie Day on Thursday 14th. You can also take a trip to the Robertson Wedding Fair this weekend or stay in the city for Cape Town Carnival on Saturday 16th. It’s the perfect way to celebrate good times!
