1 April to 7 April

Don’t be fooled; this week’s event guide is no joke!

Two shows start at the Baxter Theatre: Working Title by stand-up comedian Nik Rabinowitz from Tuesday 2nd and the moving production Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking from Wednesday 3rd.

Meanwhile, music events include the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at City Hall on Thursday 6th, a Battery Park concert featuring The Alvhinator and Uno July on Friday 5th, as well as a De Waal Park concert featuring Freshlyground, Mr Cat & the Jackal, and Mark Haze on Sunday 7th.

Staying outdoors, the Galileo Open Air Cinema is screening four movies this week: Three Identical Strangers at Kirstenbosch on Wednesday 3rd, A Million Ways to Die in the West at Kirstenbosch on Thursday 4th, Titanic at Century City on Friday 5th, and Definitely Maybe in Stellenbosch on Saturday 6th.

Speaking of which, the Stellenbosch Wine Festival will be taking place at the V&A Waterfront on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th. While you’re there you can enjoy a meal at one of the best Waterfront restaurants or sail away on one of the best Waterfront boat trips, with dinner on a luxury yacht around the Atlantic seaboard.

Close by, you can also check out the Corona Sunsets Festival in Camps Bay on Saturday 6th or the Sizzled Summer Music and Food Fest in Green Point on Sunday 7th. And while you’re in the area, be sure to eat at one of the best restaurants in Green Point, including Cheyne Morrisby’s new Ding Dong Bar for quick bite or date night. Bon appétit!
