29 April to 5 May

From dancing to decor, there’s a feast of activity in this week’s event guide!

To celebrate World Dance Day on Monday 29th, here’s a guide to unique dance classes in Cape Town. But if you’d prefer to sit and watch, there’s a lot happening at the theatre: The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? at the Baxter Theatre, Offbeat Broadway 5 at Theatre on the Bay, and Fifty Shades of Fairytales at the Artscape.

Festival highlights this week include seven days of AfrikaBurn from Monday 29th, five days of Decorex at the CTICC from Wednesday 1st, as well as three days of Whisky and Gin Live from Thursday 2nd. You could also enjoy something delicious at the Riebeek Valley Olive Festival over the weekend, coinciding with Riebeek Cellar Collection’s Wild Olive Acoustic Stage.

Back in the city, we’ve got you covered with a guide to the hottest new restaurants in Cape Town. Whether you’d like to try Japanese omelettes at Sepial’s Kitchen, fine-dining at FYN Restaurant, or the pop-up Melting Pot, you’re bound to find your flavour. Bon appetit!
